Andrea Lazar
President & Chief Executive Officer

Andrea is responsible for the company’s business development and for directing strategic plans and budgets to achieve goals and objectives, including delivering Optimal Health solutions to consumers nationally.                                   

She has more than two decades of experience in the administration of strategic business support for health systems and insurance plans nationwide.  Prior to joining Kronos, Andrea served as a professional consultant on health care policy, business planning and development, marketing communications, government and media relations for market leaders in the health care industry.

Her legal training proved to be a strong foundation for her extensive career as a health policy expert.  She served as an administrative law judge and a government insurance regulator before holding two executive roles as senior vice president of External Affairs and vice president of Governmental Affairs and Strategic Planning for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona. 

Andrea went on to contribute to the organization on a national level through her work at Strategic Consulting Services (SCS), a research and consulting firm owned by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. There, her expertise was utilized as the executive director for this consulting practice that provided both research and strategy to Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans across the country. Her responsibilities included developing senior market strategy, directing business analysis for BCBS affiliates, conducting benchmark analyses, and advising the board of directors on key business objectives and legislative issues.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland, and she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore.
